It doesn't snow too often in Nashville, so when it does, you have to take advantage of it. On this particular day the snowfall came in the morning and by that afternoon there was absolutely no evidence of it. We were so lucky that we decided on a whim to get outside and take some photos. It reminded me how much I love photographing people in the snow and how little I actually get to do it.
Lucy
I recently had the pleasure of photographing Lucy Isabel. She is a Nashville-based singer/songwriter, originally from New Jersey, whose music is inspired mostly by old country/folk storytelling. You can learn more about her at http://www.lucyisabelmusic.com/.
Our afternoon together consisted of roaming around East Nashville, with places like Cornelia Fort Airpark, the "Stay Tuned" mural, and a random backyard, as the backdrops, all while trying to chase the light.
Beatrice
As a dog owner myself, I have come to love and appreciate the companionship they provide to their owners. It's an unconditional love like no other.
I was so excited to get the chance to photograph Beatrice. She's a beautiful beagle that I've known for many years now. Her home is lovely, so we had a wonderful time photographing all around it. It took a lot of treats and "sit, stay's," but I think it was a success and created some beautiful photos.
